ExCred Africa Conference 2024 | 14 November 2024
Join Nedbank CIB at ExCred Africa 2024 in Sandton. Network with finance leaders and explore key industry trends.
Shaping the future at the ExCred Africa Conference
Finance leaders unite at ExCred Africa 2024
Nedbank Corporate and Investment Banking (CIB) has expertise in being a leading bank for structuring finance in sub-Saharan Africa. CIB’s Africa Infrastructure Finance Team offers financing solutions for infrastructure projects in sub-Saharan Africa.
Nedbank CIB: Pioneering ExCred Africa sponsorship since 2022
Nedbank CIB has proudly sponsored ExCred Africa since 2022. ExCred Africa has become a leading platform for unpacking the latest developments in the world of export credit finance and insurance in sub-Saharan Africa.
Networking opportunities for finance leaders
This 1-day insurance and export credit finance conference will be held on 14 November 2024 at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Sandton. It offers networking opportunities for senior leaders from banks, corporate companies, multilateral development banks, development finance institutions, export credit agencies, insurance brokers, reinsurers, law firms and financiers in Africa.
Discussions about insurance capacity and risk appetite
The conference offers the CIB Team an opportunity to provide thought-leadership on a variety of topics. These include insurance capacity and risk appetite, sovereign risk and debt sustainability, the changing role of multilateral, sustainable finance and opportunities to use trade and insurance as tools for social development across the continent.
Addressing sovereign risk and debt sustainability
Nedbank CIB is committed to playing a role in Africa’s infrastructure development. We have established an Africa-focused infrastructure finance team to sharpen our capabilities on the continent. Additionally, we have developed a sovereign lending strategy, recognising that the private sector alone cannot meet Africa’s trade and infrastructure funding needs. Sovereign lending will play a vital role in bridging this gap. In fact, sovereign lending is projected to grow by 20% annually through 2025, as governments take on more infrastructure projects to meet rising demand.
Nedbank’s deep experience in Africa positions us well to work with insurers, multilaterals, and export credit agencies in unlocking infrastructure financing solutions, ensuring the continent’s sustainable growth.
Nedbank CIB is proud to sponsor the ExCred Africa conference, a leading African risk conference that delves into the complexities of risk mitigation, sovereign risk and infrastructure development.
Why attend the ExCred Africa conference?
Attending the ExCred Africa conference is a unique opportunity to hear from expert speakers who are leaders in export finance, insurance underwriting, and risk mitigation. These professionals will share invaluable insights that can significantly enhance the understanding and approach to the industry. The conference also fosters professional growth by providing a platform to learn from the best, helping you refine your strategies and expand your knowledge base. Additionally, staying informed about key macroeconomic and geopolitical developments discussed at the conference ensures you are well prepared to navigate the complexities of trade, investment, and finance in Africa.
With a focus on sub-Saharan Africa, the ExCred Africa conference provides a platform for finance leaders to explore innovative solutions and strategies for mitigating risks on the continent.
